Take the next step

First step

Get educated about how diet and lifestyle choices impact your health. Here are some ideas on where to start:

  • Read through my blog articles on this website. They are well-referenced and I think you'll find them useful.
  • Watch one or two of the many documentaries available on the subject, like Forks Over Knives or What the Health or Game Changers. It may very well be mind-blowing!

Second Step

Honestly assess where you are in your life, as is relates to diet and lifestyle. 

  • Are you exercising at all?
  • What do you eat? Are you eating enough fiber?
  • Are you smoking?
  • Do you drink alcohol more than once a month on average?
  • How are you sleeping?
  • Do you get at least 15 minutes a day of sun without sunscreen?
  • What medicines and supplements do you take?

If the answers don't seem to describe a healthy lifestyle, then consider moving on to the next step.

Third Step

For 7 days, write down what you eat and drink. Try to not alter your normal way of eating at all. This is part of the honest assessment. You can't know what modifications to make if you don't know where you are starting. You can download a 7 Day Food Journal below.
